„Transfer of Knowledge from EU Countries to Republic of Srpska: Improvements of Internship Methodology in the Material Sciences (Acronym: TrakMat project)“

Project resume:

Republic of Srpska and the country as a whole, is currently in the center of interest for the European investors in raw materials sector. Numerous foreign investment is happening around the country due to its diverse raw materials deposits and relatively cheap labor comparing to the European Union. Yet, most of the foreign and successful domestic investment in this sector is succeeding in keeping a good relative scale of salaries, therefore enabling domestic work force to support their economic needs.

TrakMat project is going to support students at the Faculty of Science-Chemistry Department and students of the Faculty of Mining, both part of University of Banja Luka to get as much practical experience and much more study visits to the successful material engineering companies.

Ultimate goal is to have students understand that their professions (chemistry and mining engineering) are very complementary and that both have good potential in the country due to rich and diverse mineral deposits. Knowledge exchange from EU will be realized thanks to the partners from Politecnico di Milano who have excellent expertize in internship and practical training curriculum development.

Project activities are supported by the Ministry for scientific-technological development, higher education and information society of Republic of Srpska but also partially co-financed by the RAISESEE, EIT RawMaterials funded project, as well as by the NFFA Horizon2020 project.
