Dear All,

The U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is pleased to announce the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program competition for the 2018-2019 academic year.  Applications are received through December 4, 2017.

We hope you will consider sharing program information and the attached materials with scholars, students, academic staff, and anyone you think may be interested in applying or is part of a professional network that includes potential Fulbright candidates.

The program brings scholars and experienced professionals to the United States to conduct full-time, non-degree advanced research at the postdoctoral level, to engage in full-time teaching at the college or university level, or to pursue a combination of research and teaching.  Grants are awarded from three months up to ten months.  Grantees establish professional contacts in their academic field, enhance their scholarly work, gain international experience and personal enrichment, and help promote mutual understanding between the United States and BiH.

We encourage prospective applicants to attend program information sessions on October 10, 11, and 12.  The sessions are great opportunities to find more about the program, learn from Fulbright alumni and U.S. Fulbrighters in country on their program experience, and ask questions.  Prospective applicants can register on the American Corners’ Facebook page, in the section “Events” to attend at the following locations:

  • October 10, 15:30-16:45: American Corners Tuzla and Mostar
  • October 11, 15:30-16:45: American Corners Banja Luka, Doboj, and Zenica
  • October 12, 15:30-16:45: American Corners Sarajevo and Bihac.

Please feel free to contact us if you have questions.

Sincerely,

Adriana A. O’Flanagan
