U okviru Erasmus+ projekta ,,Razvoj master kurikuluma iz ekološkog monitoringa i bioindikacija kopnenih voda na visokoškolskim ustanovama u regionu Zapadnog Balkana“ (ECOBIAS) na Prirodno-matematičkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Banjoj Luci održan je okrugli sto na temu „Monitoring voda u Republici Srpskoj“. Pored profesora sa Prirodno-matematičkog fakulteta, okruglom stolu su prisustvovali predstavnici Javne ustanove „Vode Srpske“, Instituta za javno zdravstvo Republike Srpske, Instituta za genetičke resurse Republike Srpske i predstavnici nevladinih organizacija. Zainteresovanost da slušaju izlaganja i diskusiju su pokazali i studenti Studijskog programa biologija i Studijskog programa ekologija i zaštita životne sredine. Nakon uvodnog obraćanja, koordinator projekta, prof. dr Svjetlana Lolić je upoznala prisutne sa ciljevima projekta, opremanjem laboratorija PMF-a, kao i sa kursevima cjeloživotnog učenja koji će biti realizovani tokom tekuće školske godine u okviru ECOBIAS projekta. Zatim su uslijedila izlaganja predstavnika javnog sektora, koji su prisutne upoznali sa aktuelnom situacijom vezanom za upravljanje vodama u Republici Srpskoj, o značaju monitoringa, aktivnostima koje se provode vezano za monitoring porvšinskih i otpadnih voda, kao i o planiranim aktivnostima za naredni period. U aktivnoj diskusiji su istaknuti i određeni nedostaci i realni problemi sa kojima se sektor voda susreće, od nedostatka pojedinih podzakonskih akata, do izrazito velikih finansijskih potreba. Istaknuti su i pozitivni primjeri iz prakse, kao i značaj aktivnog djelovanja lokalnih zajednica. Učesnici su upoznati i sa dosadašnjim i trenutnim aktivnostima koje se provode na Prirodno-matematičkom fakultetu vezano za monitoring površinskih voda.
FIRST ECOBIAS ROUND TABLE
Within the Erasmus + project “ Development of master curricula in ecological monitoring and aquatic bioassessment for Western Balkans HEIs “ (ECOBIAS), a round table on „Water Monitoring in Republika Srpska“ was held at the Faculty of Science, University of Banja Luka. In addition to professors from the Faculty of Science, the round table was attended by representatives of the Public Institution „Vode Srpske“, the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Srpska, the Institute for Genetic Resources of the Republic of Srpska and representatives of non-governmental organizations. Students of the Biology and the Ecology and environmental protection listened lectures and took part in discussions. After the introductory speech, the project coordinator, prof. Dr. Svjetlana Lolić acquainted the attendees with the goals of the project, equipping the laboratories of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, as well as with lifelong learning courses that will be implemented during the current academic year within the ECOBIAS project. This was followed by lectures given by representatives of the public sector, who informed the audience about the current situation related to water management in Republika Srpska, the importance of monitoring, activities carried out related to surface and wastewater monitoring, as well as planned activities for the coming period. The active discussion also highlighted certain shortcomings and real problems that the water sector faces, from the lack of certain bylaws to extremely large financial needs. Positive examples from practice were also pointed out, as well as the importance of active action of local communities. Participants were introduced to the past and current activities carried out at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics related to surface water monitoring.
