POSJETA AMBASADORA JAPANA PRIRODNO-MATEMATIČKOM FAKULTETU

               Dekan Prirodno-matematičkog fakulteta, prof. dr Goran Trbić imao je čast da ugosti Njegovu ekselenciju gospodina Hidejukija Sakamota dana 19.11.2019. godine.  Sastanku je prisustvovao i prvi sekretar Ambasade, gospodin Kijotaka Tanaka, te nastavnici SP Hemija, doc. dr Suzana Gotovac Atlagić, bivši stipendista Vlade Japana i prof. dr Saša Zeljković, takođe bivši stipendista japanske Macumae fondacije. Naš fakultet održava intenzivnu naučnu saradnju sa tri japanska univerziteta: Šinšu univerzitetom iz Nagana, Tokio univerzitetom iz Tokija, te u ovoj godini otpočetu saradnju sa Kjušu univerzitetom iz grada Fukuoka. Ova saradnja je posljednjih godina ostvarena i kroz četiri zajednička naučna rada u recenziranim međunarodnim časopisima, više nastupa na međunarodnim konferencijama, zatim, gostovanjem profesora Kaneka sa Šinšu univerziteta na Prirodno-matematičkom fakultetu, i doc. dr Suzane Gotovac Atlagić kao predavača u Naganu, a takođe tokom 2018. godine ostvarena i šestomjesečna stručna praksa doktoranda Hironorija Sugijame sa Šinšu univerziteta na Prirodno-matematičkom fakultetu. Trenutno i rukovodilac SP Hemija, prof. dr Milica Balaban boravi na Tokio univerzitetu,  a ovo istraživanje je takođe podržala Macumae fondacija.

               Na sastanku je razgovarano o mogućnostima za dalje proširenje saradnje, naročito u oblastima zaštite životne sredine i klimatologije, u kojima je Japan svjetski lider. S druge strane PMF može da ponudi saradnju u istraživanju mogućnosti upotrebe prirodnih resursa poput alumosilikata ili čak rudarskog mulja u novim tehnologijama naprednih materijala.

               Sastanak je završen u veoma srdačnoj atmosferi. Ambasador je motivisao predstavnike našeg fakulteta da se prijave i na programe podrške budućim razmjenama kroz fondove poput Japan fondacije, te da motivišu studente da iskoriste mogućnosti japanske Vladine stipendije za podršku postiplomskih studija MEXT.

AMBASSADOR OF JAPAN VISITED THE FACULTY OF NATURAL SCIENCES AND MATHEMATICS

The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Goran Trbić had an honor to welcome His excellence, Mr. Hideyuki Sakamoto, on November 19, 2019. The first secretary, Mr. Kiyotaka Tanaka was also present, as well as the Chemistry Department teachers, Assist. Prof. Dr. Suzana Gotovac Atlagić, former Japanese Government scholar and Prof. Dr. Saša Zeljković, the Matsumae International Foundation former scholar. The Faculty has a vivid collaboration with three Japanese universities: Shinshu University from Nagano, Tokyo University from Tokyo, while recently started collaboration with Kyushu University. These collaborations were realized through the four collaborative peer-reviewed papers, numerous conference presentations, visit of Prof. Kaneko from Shinshu University to Banja Luka, visit of Prof. Gotovac Atlagić to Nagano, but also through the internship for the doctoral student from Shinshu MSc Hironori Sugiyama in Banja Luka last year. Also, currently, the Head of Chemistry Department, Prof. Dr. Milica Balaban is on the research exchange program at Tokyo University through the Matsumae International Foundation scholarship.

Discussion at the meeting were about the extension of these collaborations to environmental protection and climatology, the areas in which Japan is the world leader. On the other hand, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics can offer promising results in research on natural resources such as various alumosilicates and even mining sludge in new advanced materials technologies.

The meeting was completed in a very positive atmosphere. The Ambassador motivated the representatives of the Faculty to apply to different programs for scientific support such as those at Japan foundation and programs for graduate studies for students like MEXT.
